A nice thread on bookmarks from 1998 in which I think we find the earliest request for page thumbnails in the Mozilla browser.

It was tempting, but I didn't reopen the thread.  JWZ's link to his "edited for usability" bookmarks.html is 404 at people.netscape (have you read that story?).  But here's the new link.
