Mozilla Postgres Integration

Mozdb is a Mozilla component built into the 1.3 release for native db connectivity. I'm trying this out now with postgres on my Knoppix box. Googled it, and discovered O'Reilly coverage. Nice, mySQL support is planned, as is documentationMore bug reports...

In edition to exposing data objects, mozdb is suppose to generate bindable (rdf?) for easily connecting data sets to widgets.  **It works**

The O'Reilly writeup will walk you through the setup -- lot of the needed info is pointed to instead of included.  A recent EU Moz meeting provides an overview and the IDL (xpcom interface).

Now that this is in place, mozwho can begin.  It'll be a research platform for me on supporting browsing.  The immediate goal is to provide a more accessible methodology for doing history-enabled applications than the RDF datasources provide.  This is necessitated by the general clunkiness of RDF datastore manipulations in Moz and a longstanding bug that the logging of referrer to the history datasource was never implemented. Anyway, here's the db schema I came up with a few months back.

Composite: Rich Text Editing for Pre-Mozilla-1.3 Back Online

For some odd reason, our XPI's on composite.mozdev.org started generating "not a valid package errors".  I rebuild 0.5 and at least on Moz 1.0.1, it works.  Puzzling, but my karma is shaping up at least.
