MADness

Being a Mozilla Application Developer is tantalizingly rewarding but impossibly frustrating -- and a damn scary thing to try and build a business on. This thread at mozdev illustrates some of the issues, with the muck in file handling a notable case. Beyond issues of good design, cruft, and stability, many significant changes happen without any way for outside developer's to deal with -- other than constant checkin monitoring and reading the source.|||
