Authenticated RSS Aggregation?

I'd like to provide a customer only newsfeed for Uzilla, LLC.  It seems however that this is a missing piece in the aggregation technical infrastructure, so as it stands, I'll likely do this in such a way as to only only deliver RSS to my custom Uzilla browser, baking in authentication.  The issue is not in how to do the authentication, but rather that aggregator systems don't support user/pass in their feed configuration. Thinking long range, support for private communities using the public tool infrastructure is a key next step for weblogging -- and a key element in the fight against proprietary client tools like Groove.
