Random Bits

The surf*mind*web search result interface has gotten some much needed tweaks, both at the visual and query processing level.  This is a collection indexed by Verity, crafted in 1998, and focused on cognitive science and the web originally with a more recent focus on interface design.

Eric Meyer offers a concise XBL demo provided rounded corners on a div (in Mozilla).  XBL is a thingamabob called "procedural CSS". The XBL is here, and basically wraps the styled div with preceding and following divs.

Things have been a bit slower around surf*mind*web lately as I've moved some of my activities to my blog at Clemson, on mozwho, and at Uzilla.  My weblogging tool, Blozom, is becoming more refined  though I've gotta get the RSS feeds fixed up - ISO dates, anything else?

Mozilla documentation status report. Soon, I'll be adding links like this one automagically from a new bookmark observer in Blozom.

Ultrasaurus.com, a fresh UI blog, "You are not alone. There are 3 people looking at this page."
