I've been digging into the chatterbot system A.L.I.C.E. First step was to tweak the documentation to have anchors. I also built a multipage framed version. Despite well articulated reasoning about why long, single pages are better, I find a 140k document rather unweildy.
Alice's creator has aligned the system with Case Based Reasoning, my least favorite form of AI. This is combined with an interface for human input, ie. supervised learning. My ultimate goal is to feed it with data from the web, already accomplished in some implementations with search engine results.
