Lots of work on the search engine of late. In addition to pruning dead links, I've tweaked the indexing process to take into popularity and a few other pieces of magic. Previously, results were, at equal full text relevancy matches, prioritized by recency. Recency is now 2nd place to popularity.

The ASIST SUMMIT 2001 powerpoints are online, including one from J.Cantor on Remote Usabilty Testing. The next step for my usability toolkit, aimed at just such a purpose, is to log vectors of mouse movement. A previous version logged mouse position every 1/5 of a second, leading to a huge data explosion. By doing line fitting to mouse movements, I hope to reduce the data growth and still capture the essence of the users intrapage navigation. (via infodesign).
